CLUB COUPE SALES?
I noticed that two of the three GTS Club Coupes that were offered for sale (all at $200K or above) are no longer in the PCA Classifieds. Does anyone know if the two of them sold and for how much? Also, wasn’t there a CA dealer that was selling one, unclaimed or on consignment? And, John, I don’t know if you can connect with t…[Read more]

John, are these Club Coupe indoor covers? Why are they nearly $300 less than we paid for them when we ordered the cars? (No offense to you lucky folks ordering now.)

I love the idea of the Secret Group on Facebook. It would be easier to upload photos and info. But, I just want to say that I really love being a part of this very limited group. And John, I had not been able to read your Panorama article until today. I was blown away by your article. The experiences with the Porsche family really got me.…[Read more]

This is very interesting. In the photo, is that a Fire Extinguisher or a Nitrous Oxide tank in the trunk? It looks like it has racing seats in the car…perhaps the guy will drive it into a wall and we will be back at 60 cars in Club Blau. Where did he get the Paint Code? Did Porsche AG give it to him? I am assuming this was an after mark…[Read more]

I have been meaning to post these for a while. Tim, can you post some of your cars together? In some of these shots you get a really good spectrum of how the color changes based upon lighting and sun. It really is so beautiful a car…oh, and the 60 year is too! I still cannot believe I have one of these magnificent Club Coupes, much less both.

Alex, I was able to get one this afternoon on PCA.ORG. I’ll take the winter to think about mounting it. Thank you for the suggestion.

Alex, thank you for your note. All I got was a link forwarded to me by the dealer to order the Certificate of Authenticity. I am going to forward your note (without any reference to you) to my dealer and see if they get the hint. With what these cars cost, they should be included. I have one for each of the prior Porsches I have own…[Read more]

I agree with all of you! What we have is so very special and we have each been able to personalize the cars. I am a keeper of mine. Which, by the way, I just received from Porsche NA, a beautiful package with a letter, a bound book on the GTS, a Porsche Selection brochure, a cool personalized VIN # ID Card and a really neat 911 floating ba…[Read more]

Joe, I’d say that they owe you a new steering wheel. That is not right.

In reading all of these great entries about Porsches past and present you all have owned makes the selection of you all to receive Club Coupes exactly what I think these commerative models were intended for. My first Porsche was a 2000 Boxster S, then when Michelle and I found we were going to have our first daugher, we went for a “family”…[Read more]

I got my 1:18 model on Wednesday. I always wanted to have a scale medel of “MY” car, now I have it in both sizes. How are we coming on the leatherbound books? Also, my dealer says that the Club Coupe hats and a 1:43 scake Model are coming to CC buyers, like the hats that John and the five German deliveries got…should come around the end of the year.

I am not a seller at $220K or $250K. But I also have had my 50 Year Club Coupe for ten years and I don’t know what the two of them would garner togehter…but, I suspect it will be my wife and kids that will find out in the future. I can tell you that I don’t think putting 2,000 miles per year like a Ferrari will hurt their long-term value. …[Read more]

Joe, my dealer put the clear side markers on too and gave me the originals in the box of the clear ones. They are very nice. Your car is beautiful!

On the insurance side, I highly recommend Hagerty Insurance. They track the 50 year Club Coupe and have agreed to insure my 60 year as well. They are much less restrictive in excluded conditions for providing Agreed Value coverage. They will allow you to drive your car occasionally to work, the grocery store, to go to the gas station (yes Le…[Read more]

Allen, I am excited for you. I don’t think you will be disappointed. It is great to see all of these pictures of these cars, but when you actually get to see it, feel it and smell it, it is SO much more fulfilling. I am still checking the garage to make sure it is all real. The car is magnificent…and, I hate to say it, but the PDK was the…[Read more]
