The original press release from PCNA announcing the 60th Anniversary Club Coupe back in January 2015 stated this when addressing how the cars would be equipped:
“Sport Design side mirrors, black framed Bi-Xenon™ headlights with Porsche’s Dynamic Light System, and TAILLIGHTS TINTED IN BLACK ARE STANDARD, while the doors are marked…”

Does anybody have taillights tinted in black on their CC? The four cars I’ve seen in person (including my own) have regular 991 red taillights as far as I can tell.
Or, was this “feature” dropped before the cars went into production? Anyone know?
It’s no big deal, but I thought I’d remembered about the darker taillights and when I reread the original press release, there it was (never mentioned in any subsequent releases from PCNA, BTW.)

Mine also has the standard red lenses.  I believe the new GT3’s have a slightly darker tinted red – maybe thats where it was coming from, but mine are definitely the standard red.  Maybe Porsche originally proposed it and PCA rejected it as the normal red would better match the red in the PCA logo.

Regular tail lights here.  I didn’t realize this was the original plan.  I was looking at tint film options a couple of weeks ago, because it feels like the car needs it… Do I hear a RECALL? 😉

BTW, the GT3 RS has darker rear lights.  Checked on sun coast, and they cost a good penny!  http://www.suncoastparts.com/product/991RSSMOKED.html

    $1350!!!

Mine are regular / non-tinted as well.  They must have been dropped before production.

Josh – correct me if I’m wrong – but at Rennsport V, car #1’s rear lights didn’t look tinted either.
