I am considering leasing mine, but would like to know if there is a special residual for these vehicles. I assume they will get the standard MF of .0020. I’ve had good success leasing vehicles and then buying out those I liked and turning in those I didn’t care for as much.

Good / timeline question. I’m heading to my dealer this morning to finalize paperwork.

I’m likely to lease and treat the residual as a balloon payment. I suspect you’re right about the MF, but doubt there’s any special residual. I’ll update with findings after I have everything finalized.

Josh – I ended up purchasing and using conventional financing. In the end, the difference in payment wasn’t significant enough for me to lease. Money is just still so inexpensive, it seemed like it made the most sense.

Do you know if the standard MRM applies to this vehicle? I am on the fence with lease vs. buy as well.

One dealership in Carlsbad had 0.98% financing!!!

I would treat the lease/buy decision as with any other car, depending on your situation. It is yet to be seen what this car will do, but realistically speaking, the paint is the main point of differentiation. Given that, I really don’t see a lot of upside vs. similar GTS’s. Since there is really no good place to put cash right now, a cash transaction is no brainer for me. However, your mileage may vary….
