I know quite a few people got the exclusive indoor car cover but according to my dealer Porsche doesn’t offer an outdoor water proof cover for the 991 with sport design package. I was just wondering if anyone wants one or if anyone had come across a company that makes one? So far I’ve had no luck and am afraid I’m going to have to bite the bullet and have one fully custom made. If anyone knows of a company thats making them please let me know or if anyone wants one it might be a cheaper if we have do have to have a custom made one, to order more than one. Just let me know. The only reason I want one is because I’m planning to take the car to Porsche Parade next year in Jay Peak, VT and there aren’t many covered parking spots and I don’t like leaving a car outside over night without a weather proof cover.

    Alex,

California Car Cover in Chatsworth, CA will make you a custom-fit car cover in your choice of materials.

They will need a CC to measure, obviously, but I volunteer to take my car over to them (it’s fairly close) for a template if you decide to get a cover from them.

    Just let me know.

Alex – no outdoor cover for me, but I’m likely to take the (maybe irrational) move of buying a different indoor cover and keeping the CC cover that I bought in the bag and in pristine condition.

I’m getting the Porsche Martini Racing indoor cover from Suncoast.  I figure as this wears and gets dirty, I can always replace it, unlike the blue CC cover.

John,  I’ve take a similar approach with the floor mats.  I bought a pair of Lloyd mats – black with red “GTS” and blue piping- to keep the original mats stored and pristine.

I agree.  The extended CC package mats will never be used.  I plan on using the other set that came with the car. My question is this, is the rear shelf carpet mat a good thing to buy?  Same with the frunk mat?  I saw them both on Suncoast.

Joseph, I think it would depend on how you plan to use your Club Coupe.  If you think you will be carring stuff around in the car, the trunk or rear shelf mat would be a good idea.  In my case, I won’t need either a trunk or rear shelf mat.

I recently purchased on a whim a 991 turbo outdoor cover and it fits the ducktail GTS about perfectly. It was much cheaper than having someone custom make me a weather proof cover. If anyone is interested I can get them the part number. Attached are photos of the back of the car with the cover on.
